LOS ANGELES, CA (January 2013) – Mister Cartoon’s Sanctiond™ premier car care brand announces collaboration with Warner Brothers on the customized Gangster Squad car—a 1939 Chevy Master Deluxe with hand-painted murals depicting images inspired from the movie—complemented by a limited edition product line featuring Spray Detailer and Tire Glaze with label art designed by Mister Cartoon.
The Gangster Squad car was unveiled at the Los Angeles VIP film screening after-party and displayed at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The vehicle traveled the country on an exclusive film screening tour where guests were invited to select theaters for advanced screenings of the movie. The car was on display on the red carpet for the film’s Hollywood premiere on January 7th, 2013.

Sanctiond™ CEO Atticus Firey says, “This high-profile car and its priceless paint job deserves only the best care, which is why we sent the Sanctiond™ Mobile Detail Unit with the customized Gangster Squad car to each stop, giving away free product and car detailing services to guests. Ten VIP kits were also gifted to winners from local radio station contests.”
The Gangster Squad bomb features Candy Cobalt Blue flacked fenders, Bentley Black paint for its exterior and white gold leafing with Candy Blue accents as well as Mister Cartoon’s movie-inspired murals. The car is slammed to the ground via custom airbags and rides on handmade 72-spoke Zenith 14-inch wire wheels. The custom interior features Aston Martin suede diamond pattern inserts, hand-woven floor mats, Japanese leather seats with a suede headliner. The audio system was provided by Rockford Fosgate and includes custom-molded TVs added in the dash.
Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ Gangster Squad hit theaters nationwide on January 11th, 2013.

Legendary tattoo artist Mister Cartoon is equally well-known for his love of classic cars. In this regular series, Cartoon introduces us to various aspects of global car culture — from favorite models to the best customizers in the game.
In a world of donks, luxury cars, sports cars and rap videos, anyone can lease any car, at any time, at any place, and be in the game. For this edition of my regular Complex column, I'm bringinging you something that’s not regularly available—classic "Bombs" from the '30s, 40s, and '50s.
The youth of today might not know there history in automotive design, so in this chapter we are jumping back in our time machine sliding back to pre-WWII zoot suit era, a time when central blvd in LA was the sunset blvd of the time segregation and racism was rampant but automotive design was at an all-time high.

What's up welcome back to Mrs Toons Soul Sundays!
Today's selection is one of my favorite songs "Darling Baby" by The Elgins. I remember being about 14 in High school always singing this song. I was in love with this song! I still am. The Elgins were an American vocal group on the Motown label, active from the late 1950s to 1967. They were most successful for their hits "Darling Baby" & "Heaven must of sent you". Here a video of the lead singer Saundra Edwards who sang Darling Baby. She was the only female in that group.
